DHPT Logo Change

Since last year's "Incident" with the Big Wheeled Ballyhoo has severed ties with the event, we're doing something different this year. Since the BWB was part of the DHPT Logo, we had to make an update to that too. It's still in the works, but this is one of the first renderings of the image that we're working on.

I'm not really for people pushing political agendas on Bike Sites, but this made me laugh and I had to pass it on. I don't know where it came from, I just thought it was funny.

Ride Weekend

Jeff's new toy finally arrived. A 2009 Gary Fisher Super Fly. Carbon, single speed, stupid light.

She weighs in at a whopping 16.11 pounds.

Some people would rather err on the side of style and fashion as opposed to being super light and fast. Travis's new ride.

And as for actually riding, Bluffton seemed to be the place to be this weekend. The gravels were a little sloppy on Saturday morning, but really dried up nicely for a Sunday Noon Cruise. For the first time since August, I wasn't the only guy wearing shorts. I think everyone is pretty excited for the warmer weather. Not that you can't ride in the cold, but it sure is a lot easier when you don't have to bundle up and worry about your water freezing.

What's up this week:

Monday: City Council will be discussing Segment 7 of the Trout Run Bike path and the Hwy 9 Bridge in City Hall at 7:45 PM.

Tuesday: DHPT Meeting starting at 7:30 PM at T-Bock's back room. Agenda is on the DHPT page of www.bikedecorah.com

This year we will not be sending out entry forms in our usual paper mailing (saving some trees and money). Please save the link below and forward on to others in your community or bike club that may be interested in the Decorah Time Trials.
